Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the no-battery kit with my existing batteries?
Yes, if you already have a 48V battery system. The inverter charger works only with 48V battery systems and is not compatible with 24V.
Can it connect to my home's grid?
It can serve as standalone backup for a grid-tied home, but Renogy notes a transfer switch is needed. Consult a professional for net-metering or advanced grid integration.
Lithium or AGM: which battery option should I choose?
Both provide 9.6kWh. The lithium batteries are rated for 5000 cycles at 44.53 lb each; the AGM batteries are rated for 500 cycles at 50% DOD and weigh 127.9 lb each.
